As a maker and artist grounded by the discipline of craft, I create ceramic and wood objects for the home which are tactile, beautiful and functional. In a world overcrowded by mass-produced goods, which rarely check more than one of these boxes, I want to contribute something more - something better.

My work appeals to a user's senses - primarily touch and sight. My material and design choices are made with this in mind. In my current collection of kitchen wares, I use walnut wood and a terracotta-toned stoneware to add a sense of warmth and visual texture to my ceramics. In combination with this, I use a white speckled glaze, resembling that of a robin’s egg, to add a sense of "neutral" lightness with just enough texture to catch the eye from a distance. I shape all of my handles as large round disks that are easily held by people with hands of all sizes. Having larger hands, myself, I find this unconventional handle easier to hold yet still interesting to look at.
